Ron, you could make a few coins if you bring a few big truck loads up here. (Auburn)

I only had 2 plots to plant, so i went with the WMS Alabama blend. My buddy loves that stuff, and i know what he sees and kills every year....

This is what I got for $15.50/ bag plus I add a pound of purple top turnips per each bag for a total of $18/bag. I hope the deer like it for $30 cheaper a bag

I used wms Alabama blend and deer magnet this year for the first time.

It's cut my total seed cost by 1/3 and my time planting by about 4 hrs

I planted WMS Alabama and Mississippi blends with a few plots getting the WMS Brassica blend too.

We have planted WMS for the past 5 years and our plots always look pretty darn good compared to some others I have seen.

Key is hitting them with AN in late December to carry the plot through Mid-Feb.

Just figured mine. I am planting 36, 50lb bags of certified wheat seed at a rate of 150 lbs per acre. That comes to $27.75 per acre. The bag is plain brown paper and has no camouflage or pic. of buck on bag.

I have been planting wheat only for the last 30 years. I may come back if a rain is forecast and top sow some clover or rape with the utv and electric seed spreader some years.

I know exactly what I'm comparing.
I was probably using a little too much seed before. Doesn't matter, I won't be going back.
By time I mixed my own the 50#/acre for deer magnet is where it's at for me. I planted all but one plot this past Saturday. The ones planted this past Saturday are coming up nicely. The one I planted 3 weeks ago is ready to hunt over. I was very impressed with the amount of beans and radishes that have germinated.
