Inches ruin the fun that used to be known as deer hunting.
On my place, if whatever deer that is in the sights of the particular hunter will create an awesome experience for that hunter, then they get the green light to shoot.
For me and others who have killed good deer and have mounted some, then that particular deer would probably be a stud of some sort. But it has nothing to do with inches or points.
Last Thanksgiving we were fortunate to be able to let a 9 year old kid and his step dad hunt together, first time deer hunting. He killed a 95 pound 6 point. And he was almost crying he was so proud of it. Would I have shot that deer? No way, would that deer have grown into a larger buck, of course.
That's our rule, make memories, have fun. It's just a damn pine goat and God will make more of them.

I'm all about making 1-2 memories per season.
But I see people making 6-8 all the time and that's where we might disagree.
No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.

He didn't say anything about somebody acting an azz either, when they talked about critiquing his club's silly rules. Sorry, couldn't resist, Atoler.

I love reading about club rules. No schit. So glad I'm not in one. They're not all bad. We don't execute our bad apples until the 3rd strike.
I hope we have once again reminded people that man is not free unless government is limited. Theres a clear cause and effect here that is as neat and predictable as a law of physics: as government expands, liberty contracts. Ronald Reagan
