I have looked at my notes all the way back to 2010 and have discovered that I have only seen a few deer in the month of January. It seems that after the rut (mid December) the deer pretty much go nocturnal. Anyone else have this issue or have any suggestions? I have hunted less this year than any other year and was not busted by deer going to, or from, my stands which is a first, but the deer are doing what they do every year.

they are resting in cover as much as possible and only move to feed. Hunt any food sources close to bedding areas if ya know.

Very small acreage, and the neighbors are putting a faiir amount of pressure on them from what I can tell, even walked 400-500 yds over to one of my plots to steal a trail camera. The under brush that they had to walk through is so dense that every deer in a mile radius had to have heard them.

Tell me about it. It was taken between Wednesday night and yesterday afternoon. Glad they didn’t take the heater out of my shooting house as well.

They had to have been eyeballing your place for a while to know the camera was there and to be brave enough to go steal it. That’s sucks. Sorry but yue loss
