A buddy of mine just bought one and asked me to help him sight it in.He has it topped off with a nikon prostaff scope. It is without a doubt the finest out of the box rifle I have ever had the priviledge to shoot. After we tried several types of shells we found that the 30-06 150 grain fusion will shoot 1/4 inch groups at 125 yards.I am now thinking of trading in my Tikka.lol

I have one in 270 wsm. Either it wont shoot as good as yours or I just can't make it shoot that good, but it shoots 1 1/2 inch groups at 200 yards right out of the box so I'm not gonna complain about it.

1/4 in. center to center for a 30 cal. is one ragged hole smaller than a dime. At 125 yards ,that's fine shootin'.

I agree that's some hole.

But I have had several a bolts and they have shot very good.

They haven't held very highly compared to 700s but I think they are good.

Do you want to hear him gobble, or do you want to kill him.

I have an A-bolt in 7mm-08 with 2.5-8 leupold with heavy duplex that shoots 7/8 in at 100 with factory ammo. Seeing as how I don't see so well anymore, I thought that was pretty good. My son has a Tikka in .308, with same scope that shoots a little better. Never owned a Rem. 700, I understand they shoot well.

Just so noone will think I am stratching the truth. My friend behind me has his own shooting range. Its really nice.He has dirt mounded up and cross ties buried into the dirt.In front of the cross ties we tack on that orange foam stuff that comes in sheets that you can buy at the craft stores. Then when you put your target over it and shoot .The bullet might make a large whole in it but when you removed the target and look behind it there will be a very small blackish grey dot where the bullet entered. The foam kind of self heals.you can easily see how close a group you are shooting with the stuff. That is how I came to the conclusion of 1/4 inch groups.
