Few guys I know with leases in Mississippi were told there will be zero tolerance when it comes to feeding on their leases. Legal or not they don't care, if ya get caught your lease will be terminated, don't matter if ya had it 2 years or 50 years. I know we have some members from Mississippi any of y'all ran into this yet?

Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many!

It probably depends on where the lease is. I'd heard rumor they were going to stop feeding in the areas near where they found CWD.

This is probably what it is. I spoke with one of the state biologists this week and they’ve still just found the one case of CWD in the delta.

Most leases are still going to legally feed.

I hunt in MS just no where near the area effected (my place is an hour from Mobile for perspective). Feeding is banned (for now) in a 6 County area surrounding where the CWD was detected. I can only imagine the lease restrictions that will be taking place in the Delta. And to compound matters Anderson Tully (ATCO) is in the process of selling their land holdings in that part of MS so several old established clubs are getting the ax as well. Big changes on that side of MS.

The entire state should stop but it won't. The people that use corn probably won't even want to stop when it affects the area they are hunting in.

Only 1 so far per Dept. newsletter I got in an email yesterday. Newsletter stated they have tested about 126 deer with no positive detections.

I can tell you with certainty, it is being discussed amongst lots of large landowners.

Based on what I'm hearing about the way the prions are deposited and spread by infected animals, it's just as likely that they would leave them on native browse or in a field as they would around a corn pile.

This is on the MDWFP site:

Pursuant to the Order of the Executive Director on behalf of the Commission, effectively immediately, supplemental feeding and use of minerals and/or mineral sites is banned in the following counties: Claiborne, Hinds, Issaquena, Sharkey, Warren, and Yazoo.
