You're only looking at roughly 2,700 lbs in total material weight. Your problem is going to be the sag in the 8ft of tin hanging off the back of your trailer. Weight wise, you're more than fine with the full load on a 16' tandem trailer. Dealing with the length of the tin is going to be your problem.

Could you strap some of the boards down so that they hang longer than the trailer to support the tin?
Seems like that makes sense in my head at least

I plan on screwing some of of 2x6 boards to the tail end to extend the trailer. I was just worried about having too much weight on the back end and it wanting to "fish tail" but i think if I put all the lumber on the front end of the trailer it should be ok.

Let the tin hang over the front some too , if possible. The trailer should handle the weight no problem.

Mine holds 7,000lbs so you will be OKAY. Letting the 3xs hanh over to extend you trailor a couple feet will work as well.

If hauling with a pick-up but the 2X4 in the bed of the truck sticking out the back with the gate closed. Or find some extra weight to add to the front of the trailer like a few bags of quikcrete or something don't buy it just something scrape unless you need other items you can use for this.

Buy a couple of 20 foot 2x6s and lay the metal on that with the other lumber on top of the metal. Done this several times.

If the front of the trailer is "light" just put 12 or 15 sacks of corn on it.

ive hauled 7 full sheets of tin on mine before no problem I did put some long boards under it to hold a redflag out the end. I also pushed it close to the jack. if you notice the put the wheels towards the back of the trailer to help get more tongue wieght. with all that wood your getting you shouldn't need anymore weight up front.
