I'm a Farmers agent. Ask your agent for the 30 year simple term rate. It has a cheaper tobacco rate than the traditional product

the simple term is a new product that is instant issue. There is no medical involved. The rate for non tobacco vs the medically underwritten is higher. But, for whatever reason, the tobacco rate is lower.

Go to zanderins.com and you can get free quotes from tons ocompanies in just a few minutes.....got my wife and my own policy through zander. My policy is with american general and my wires policy is with a company called Banner. But we went through Zander's website. They make it VERY easy for you. Hope they're there when someone needs them. Banner? That's a first.

You must be older or in a higher risk category. Those are outrageous rates. I'm 36. I have a non tobacco whole policy now. I just think it's time to cash out and get term. I think trying to sneak around (quit for 30 days) or whatever could come back to bite ya.

"wellcovered" sounds like your agent must be checking in!
If you already have a tobacco rated policy, there's really no way to cheat the system. The medical information bureau has records of your tobacco use and underwriting will check with the MIB. If you did happen to cheat the system and you died within the first 2 years of the policy, they would payout what your premiums would have purchased for a tobacco rated policy. After the 2 year anniversary, you could write the company and tell them you cheated and there's nothing they could do.
If you quit the tobacco use for a year and get a doctor's statement that you quit, they can remove the tobacco rating.
