Weird...the Earth is round, kinda basketball shaped which is strange to understand especially for folks that only think in football shaped universes.

This thing keeps getting slower and stronger.

This storm is gonna be a kick in the teeth for them folks in NC who just got swamped with the last storm.

Man I hope not. Them guys are still suffering up there. We sent people from my company up there to help with the relief effort and the pictures they showed me when they came back were terrible.

He don't need to slow down anymore. He needs to haul arse thru all that warm water. It can get bad for those poor people on the lower east coast.

I've already warned all my friends in Panama city they may need to come stay at my house. Got a bad feeling about this one. For one, it isn't going fast like Gordon or Nate did, therefore it will be able to use the hotter than hell gulf to blow up. Also, it will be heading right over the loop current right at a time that this storm will go under rapid Intensification or "bombogenesis." I don't like it one bit. We've been lucky that all the right ingredients for the last few storms never came together. This one, however, will have the right ingredients for a major hurricane. It's only limiting factor is dry air but it will probably overcome that.

Man I hope it wouldn't mess with them folks in the Carolina's.

I spoke earlier today with a good friend from up that way...he says that about half the rivers there are still above flood stage, as it is!

I sure hope we're on the dry side up here.

This storm will likely be a minor irritation for us. The flooding its gonna cause for SC/NC is gonna be a major headache.

That projected path sure don't look good for me. I live right on Lake Seminole in Florida where Florida, Georgia and Alabama all meat. If it goes anywhere in that projected path we're gonna get some bad weather off of it.

Relax...it'll shift east/west a dozen times, between now and then, and by the time the storm makes landfall, it'll be moving a good bit faster, so it'll likely be a good bit weaker, by the time as far inland as you are.

Man...I sure hope it doesn't mess with these folks in south Alabama too.

I'm not too worried about it just thankful that I don't have any big trees around the house to worry about.

We need rain from it but no flooding.

As far as the wind field with hurricanes, Faster moving storms cause more damage inland because it holds together longer over land. Slower moving storms weaken quicker

I am predicting that 231 and 331 will be a mess this entire week.
