Well my girlfriend says she wants to come hunt deer and hogs with me this year. I'm cool with it but I refuse to by another rifle considering I'm building an AR already. Therefore she'll be using my .308 when we go together. That leaves me with my cheap Stevens 320 20 gauge. I'm torn between buying mostly slugs or #2 buck. I'm comfortable knowing all my shots will be close so which do y'all recommend ?

I’ve tried but I’m never gotten a good pattern with 20- ga. Buckshot.

Get an AR upper in 7.62x39, 6.5Grendel, 6.8 SPC Or a 450 Bushmaster upper. Same size bullet as a 20ga sabot slug, good bit faster and a hell of alot more accurate.

I've killed several deer with both. I'd get slugs.
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

and a hell of alot more accurate. Not necessarily the case. 20ga slug holes touching at 100 yards is pretty damn accurate.
Get the F out of the BATFE. The F is guaranteed by the US Constitution. Those other letters are not.

Get you a rifeled barrel forbypur shotgun and shoot some sabot slugs. I googled Forbypur thinking it was going to be some badass brand of shotgun id never heard of.... 🤦🏻♂️ need more coffee
