You our wildlife biologists or anyone else who enjoys evidence based articles, what academic journals do you read about whitetail deer?

None really...I used to read some during college when forced to (paging Dr. Ditchkoff). But I seem to remember that on his website for his students there were quite a few on there involving white-tailed deer.

Maybe just do a google search. You'll probably come across some of Ditchkoff's articles from their deer herd in camp hill. I would think they have published a number of articles from that study site.

Journal of Wildlife Management. Also The Wildlife Professional. Both are published by The Wildlife Society.

Try MSU Deer Lab podcast. All science based, university researched information on deer and deer management. No opinion. Just science & research. Best I’ve heard. Bronson Strickland and Steve Demarious host podcast, teach at MSU have also written a few books. Most of their research has been done in Alabama & Miss

Evidence based?

This is aldeer.

We do as our paw paw did and no one knows what is best for state herd health/dynamics except for us.

Journal of Wildlife Management. Most of my academic reading now is medically inclined (work), but I sure miss having access to all the databases when I was in school. I really enjoy reading studies on deer movement and fawn predation.
