Amazon is a lot of different sellers lining up to sell the same thing. Probably one of those sellers has them cheap and when they run out they go to the next which is the higher price. When the cheaper gets access to them again they are back on sale.

Got mine in yesterday and it’s perfect. They’ve even improved a few things on the stands since I owned a summit years ago. They now have end caps for the back of the stand and improved the carrying straps. Looking forward to getting it in the woods. Me too
