^^This. My knee and ankle are too bad to run anymore and was thinking of looking into one as well.

I actually like mine. I try to do HIIT training on it 3 days a week. 15 minutes is all it takes. (It's kind of like Geico. ) I will tell everyone that they are very personal as to feel and fit and operation. I tried many before I bought ours, some expensive ones are very awkward to use and some not so expensive ones as as smooth as butter, We ended up getting one that was pretty reasonable and it has not only held up well, but works well for my body type. I have been on some very expensive ones at hotel gyms and they were very strange and uncomfortable to use. Don't ever buy one without trying it out.

They make great clothes hangers after about a month... I was about to say that same thing. I've bought approximately $999,000 of work out equipment over the years, and gave it away after I got tired of moving it into the garage.

The one I bought is a pro form. It’ll get used, I’m way to stubborn to spend that much on something and not use it plus I’m kinda ocd once I start something. We’ve turned a large unused bedroom in the basement into a home gym over the last few months and the elliptical is just the latest addition

They make great clothes hangers after about a month... Yep, If they only could get wrinkles out of clothes.

Ellipticals are like 14,867,348,295 times better than a treadmill. I used to use them a lot at the UA Rec when I was in school....like OP, I found I could "run" 3 or 4x the distance on one compared to a treadmill because of the low (non-existent) impact. So I got much more benefit of getting heart rate up for an extended period.

I bought a basketball goal last summer and it's the first workout device I've ever had that I actually use consistently. It's not real high intensity, but it's better than doing nothing and it's about all that I am physically able to do. Sure more fun than just walking.

I inherited a basketball goal with this house. I tuned it into a deer skinning rack, with the quick addition of a boat winch.
