Where are you getting 3 HT calls for $20?

He was selling them at that price at the show in Nashville. I always stock up every year while I’m up there

I agree HT calls are better than both. I can run any WH I’ve ever tried better than any zink though. HT and Hook’s are what I buy the most.

Hooks Custom Calls makes great calls. I get the small frame calls. Call him, he'll make what you want. Great calls, good price, excellent service.

That’s who I currently use, and the birds like them fine, just would like to try the calls that everyone raves about.

I haven't yet played with a Houndstooth but holy cow are they on the ball with shipping. I placed my order for some yesterday afternoon at 2:30 and this morning at 8:00 I got a notification saying they were already out for delivery! That is just awesome service!

Just saw this and remembered this thread, not Houndstooth, but:

I like bigger tape myself. Hooks makes them for me with no problem, though their normal calls are small tape. Hooks and Houndstooth calls, and only in select cuts, are all I buy anymore. I have wasted a TON of money figuring out cuts and calls that won't work at all for the way I move air. I wish that video everybody has been sharing about blowing mouth calls would have been available 7 or 8 years ago!

Never tried either one, but I do like the Gentleman Jack calls. I have the Ghost and Eastern Supreme, both do well.

A friend, the Bible and a banker will get you though about anything.

It’s not the tape, it’s the frame.

I order two Houndstooth calls at 6:45 yesterday morning and received a email saying they were shipped at 1:37pm yesterday. I see they are in Montgomery now so they should make it to my house tomorrow. I have never used one but so far I like how they do business and I am ready to try them out. My go to call has always been at WH red wasp. I am fixing to go buy one at WCI in just a minute.

+ 1 on the petition for a smaller call, I thought it was just me. I wish they still made the old ones using lead or aluminum. I could bend those any way I wanted.

I am going to look into small cut tape dies next season. I have been thinking about it awhile myself from listening to different people. There are some calls I like even with smaller cut tape. On the shipping we do our very best to be fast and it pays off for sure cause season is only so long. I appreciate all of ya!!!
