I'll be in the childersburg area. Any tips on the ground there. Not asking for a honey hole just, just asking to point me to a road or something landmark where I might hear one.

Just look at the motor vehicle maps and pick a spot to listen. If you end up hunting Hollins WMA make sure you fill out the daily user permit. It’s not like all the other wma’s where the map is a season long permit.

Hows the terrain compared to Bankhead?

I’d say it’s similar. Talladega has some higher elevations. Find some spots on a map and then look at those spots on a topo compared to where you hunt in Bankhead.
