Yes, that is the I-35 corridor, but I was curious as to why the near blanket light coverage to the East of that and near nothing to the West until you get to the Rocky Mountain front range. I am guessing it is because all of that in between is the Great Plains.

No people to speak of and LOTS of corn, beans, and wheat. Think of Lower Alabama (minus the chicken houses) with 75% less people. I was up in Omaha for a meeting back in September and heard that something like 75% of Nebraska's population live in a 100 mile radius. Same is true for the most other plains states.

80 miles out of Bethel, AK. in the Kilibuk Mtns. is where they keep all the darkness.

Darkest I've seen was about 900 miles off the east coast in the middle of the Atlantic on a ship.
