Wish I knew the area to tell you a good hole. I’m not even for sure where it’s at

That would be near Mobile, Alabama I'm assuming. I live down here too, just never fished Dog River that much before.

I wish you did too. Yeah it's in Mobile if you know Dauphin Island Parkway and the big bridge over that that's dog River Bridge. There's a whole lot of water that comes through their out to the Gulf. Yeah I lived here a long time haven't done a lot of fresh or brackish water fishing I'm normally out Mississippi sound. But I got this little bass boat now trying to find some new areas.

It may be a drive, but try launching at Live Oak Landing. Nice landing, but it gets a lot of pressure as there is a tournament their just about every weekend. One place to start may be Mifflin Lake. Again, it does get a lot of fishing pressure, but it is usually fishable. The Delta is a maze. It takes a lot of time on the water to figure it out. And then when you do, it changes from day to day.

Where exactly are you fishing? If your around the bridge I'd just use some shrimp, it'll keep the yungins occupied. I was fishing a spot we use to call devil's hole (little beach area north of rabbit creek) and i hung about an 8ib Largemouth, man she was fine! She spit the hook out about 10 yards from the boat ☹

Gobbler thanks for that. Ill try them. I can't imagine slogging through the delta. Where exactly are you fishing? If your around the bridge I'd just use some shrimp, it'll keep the yungins occupied. I was fishing a spot we use to call devil's hole (little beach area north of rabbit creek) and i hung about an 8ib Largemouth, man she was fine! She spit the hook out about 10 yards from the boat ☹ I'm fishing from between the Navco boat launch all the way down to the bridge. Trying those little creekways where the water is calmer. I'm going to look for the devils hole.

No problem. I haven't been in the area in long time though, but maybe you can find some Bream along the way.

Launch on the east side of the causeway at Scott’s landing and run up river a little way. Just fish the bank that has trees with crickets and a cork and you should wear them out.
