Go to pay off my mortgage bank cant take my money. I am told to overnight a check or wire transfer the money. I will be a monkeys uncle. This is how my day has been all day. I try to go to Chik Fil A and they bulldozed it to the ground. I am going to buy some M80's maybe I will blow my hand off.

You have a house that’ll be paid for after this payment.. The perception you have of it being a bad day has no sympathetic weight on me.. however it does suck chick fila was closed. Congrats on a paid off home.

Yeah, I don't get all the love for Chik Fil A either. I couldn't even tell you where the closest one is or the last time I eat at one.

Sig Sauer, to hell and back reliable.

Whatever suits you just tickles me plum to death.

Can I refill your eggnog for you? Get you something to eat? Drive you out to the middle of nowhere and leave you for dead?

I thought banking the olden way was to take in money at 2%, loan it out at 7%, and hit the golf course at 3.

Odo you are correct. The good old days of knowing bank manager and that person handling business on a personal level seems to be on its way out. A bank that cant figure my payoff without calling headquarters. Sad state of affairs.

I guess I am very lucky to have a great bank. I need anything I pick up the phone and call them and it's handled.

I went through the same scenario standbanger. I understand the payoff is a different but the hoops they make you is aggravating.

I dont , other that CFA because the rest taste like pure garbage to me. It's not that CFA is a delicacy but it's at least real food. They have proven that fast food doesn't have to hire lazy trash to turn a profit. Their customer service is a model for every business to follow. They get the order right every time and they truly serve their community and represent their faith in a way few other businesses do. They are always busy but their efficiency and attention to service means the wait is shorter there than a place that does a a fraction of their business. Some people don't like the food and that's understandable but I can't believe that anyone who has visited more than once couldn't see how their business model has been so successful.

Derailment in progress....

All of my debt(work car&condo) is held by a small local credit union 1.5 miles from my condo.
Every once in a while I get a wild hair and go apply $1,000 cash towards the two loans in person.

It's quite nice having a small local credit union that actually is interested in customer retention.

I'm convinced Chick Fil As don't close, I'm going to assume the bulldozed location will be getting a complete revamp.
Blessings to the Lords Chicken.

I still have a few of the real M80s, that my grandaddy taught me to fish with.
They are the genuine 1/4 dynamite, probably 40 years old.
I used ONE of them, recently, to dislodge a chunk of concrete. They still work. 😆

The deed and paperwork to do with that. It may have been because it was Friday and helping a customer on a Friday would be too much. The bank is e-mailing me the payoff and the address to overnight the check to.
