I need an old slow computer preferably with XP on it. Anybody got one laying around they haven't tossed yet?

Because the software I need to run once in a blue moon won't run on any other computer I have. I had 4 put back and needed to run that software to do a small chore and 3 out of the 4 had died. I'm not going to spend the time it would take to revive them when they are just sitting around waiting on somebody to throw them away. I'll just salvage drives and power supplies out of them and throw the rest away. I need XP because it runs DOS.

Yeah Doc. Microsoft doesn't even support XP any longer, except for large clients like the US Navy who pay them to keep cranking out patches for it.

I can get the software to run its the com port speed that is the problem. It won't talk to the equipment. Even with some of the programs that slow it down its still goofy and undependable. With an old 486 its just bullet proof. I found a laptop I had forgot about today but its not got a cd or usb on it. I got the favor done on an old 386 so I'm not in any hurry. Yall don't go to any trouble.

Wish I had know this about two months ago.
I took three old hard drives and used them for targets. My wife and my late mom in law would not let me throw away anything that might contain personal information. They always insist that it must destroyed instead. So, what's a great way to destroy a computer??? High powered rifle calibers are one.
