I hope GM bankrupts, burns & falls off the face of the planet!!!
With GM being on strike & myself being a parts manager at a GM dealership, I hate GM more than I ever have! Never have been a fan to begin with.
We haven't had but 2 parts deliveries in over a month now. Just a handful of parts at that. Can't even get any damn oil filters!
We have A LOT FULL of these pieces of crap to work on & I'm the one that has to listen to ALL of the bulldoodoo because I can't get parts. A BIG FU TO GM!!!

I hope none of you fellas' fine GM turds don't break down anytime soon.

I think Mobil oil and filters still exist, so I'll just continue to get mine at a retailer. I ordered a wire harness for a headlight last week at a dealer and had no problem with that either. guess I'm lucky.

Yep, buddy bought a used 2019 p/u two weeks ago. The driver side headlight cover was cracked by a rock. Still waiting on the part.

eBay.

The dealership offered to fix it for free as part of the sale.

Being a dealership we don't use after market parts, but with this crap we're having to.
They had to have gotten the harness from another dealer.
I get at least 50 calls from other dealers every day wanting to buy parts we have in stock.

After being told basically to F off by Chevrolet customer service when my brand new truck's transmission started making awful noises 3 days after I bought it, I have bought my last GM product. They told me it was normal for the design and to get a lawyer and sue them because they weren't going to fix it and I just had to live with it. That was in 2000.

we just bought a few sierras and are having fits with the fuel pumps...already replaced 6 pumps and haven’t had them 6 months, yet. no fuel cap lets dust into the tank. once warranty is up we’ll be installing older fuel necks with caps on them.

how was it stated in a previous thread...paraphrased: y’all still whining about government motors this long after the bailout (the one that went to corporate bonuses instead of into the company)

YES

I think I just got lucky that it was at the dealers other location. bad thing was I couldn't find that part in the aftermarket, so I would have been splicing wires and adding sockets which I didn't want to do for a $20 part.

No one likes the government so I would expect government motors to be disliked as well

It's the union people who put GM in this position. They will go after Ford and Chrysler at some point also.

Auto workers unions ceased to be helpful to the workers decades ago. Only thing they have accomplished is to drive jobs across the border in that time.

It not GM's fault, it's the Auto Unions fault and the Democrats fault. You wouldn't be a Union member would you ?

Here is what will happen. If you notice all the warranty periods have been shortened back up to 50k miles or less like they were in the 1980's.

They will start engineering everything to last 50k miles again. Just watch. They can make it cheaper that's just how that works.

But they will still try to charge you $80k for a car.... financed over 120 months of course. If the banks will go to 180 month for the loan term cars will be $100k.

Total Racket. We bailed them out with Taxpayer money and this is what we get in return.

No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.

Oh, but if you listen to the Union they will tell you that they build a superior product.

I have had good luck with gm. my last three have had no problems other than maintenance here and there. 5.7 with 4l60 sold with 318k still running strong. have 6.0 - 4l80 with 262 and a 6.2 -6l65 with 184.

I might have a slight miss on the 6.0 right now that I'm trying to take care of-think it is an egr issue. other than that no issues. I've had 3 other trucks that I got over 200 on and an 85 k5 and a 90 k5.

the 85 was a piece. that 305 was crap.
