At least thats why Obama says no new businesses are coming to America and many Americans businesses are leaving ! What a jackazz, the reason is the tax burden placed on company's here. This moron has got to go !

I'm not an Obama supporter by any stretch of the imagination. However, I do agree that a good bit of the younger generation are lazy ass hell, and just want to live on handouts and the hard work of others. Don't believe me? Look at the numbers of people or working age on government assistance, or living at home in their 30's.

That's what you get when you "spread the wealth".
Two things are happening. You can get it for free or if you earn it the government is going to take it. This promotes laziness.

However, I do agree that a good bit of the younger generation are lazy ass hell, and just want to live on handouts and the hard work of others. Don't believe me? Look at the numbers of people or working age on government assistance, or living at home in their 30's. they are referred to as the Millennials 60 minutes had a special on them a few years back Generations, like people, have personalities. Their collective identities typically begin to reveal themselves when their oldest members move into their teens and twenties and begin to act upon their values, attitudes and worldviews.
America's newest generation, the Millennials,1 is in the middle of this coming-of-age phase of its life cycle. Its oldest members are approaching age 30; its youngest are approaching adolescence.
Who are they? How are they different from -- and similar to -- their parents? How is their moment in history shaping them? And how might they, in turn, reshape America in the decades ahead?
The Pew Research Center will try to answer these questions through a yearlong series of original reports that explore the behaviors, values and opinions of today's teens and twenty-somethings.
Even without further research, we already know a few big things about the Millennials.
They are the most ethnically and racially diverse cohort of youth in the nation's history. Among those ages 13 to 29: 18.5% are Hispanic; 14.2% are black; 4.3% are Asian; 3.2% are mixed race or other; and 59.8%, a record low, are white. They are starting out as the most politically progressive age group in modern history. In the 2008 election, Millennials voted for Barack Obama over John McCain by 66%-32%, while adults ages 30 and over split their votes 50%-49%. In the four decades since the development of Election Day exit polling, this is the largest gap ever seen in a presidential election between the votes of those under and over age 30. They are the first generation in human history who regard behaviors like tweeting and texting, along with websites like Facebook, YouTube, Google and Wikipedia, not as astonishing innovations of the digital era, but as everyday parts of their social lives and their search for understanding. They are the least religiously observant youths since survey research began charting religious behavior. They are more inclined toward trust in institutions than were either of their two predecessor generations -- Gen Xers (who are now ages 30 to 45) and Baby Boomers (now ages 46 to 64) when they were coming of age

I see it every day in the workplace. The 40+ crowd gets a lot more done than the 40- crowd does. It's not just experience, although that does play a role. These young-uns spend way more time goofing off instead of working. Not all of the kids are lazy and not all of the more mature people are hard workers, but it seems that stereotyping is fairly accurate in this case. I have to repeatedly urge these younger ones to stay busy. We have several older employees in part for this reason. There is a 79yo that can outwork his 19yo grandson. It just don't make good sense. Our jobs are overseas because of the free trade agreements with Mexico, China, etc. Our jobs that remain stateside are increasingly being filled by our not so south of the border neighbors because WE DONT WANT TO PULL OUR ON WEIGHT. Unemployment is very high, yet we have to hire foreigners to fill many jobs. Have we as Americans, and as Alabamians, suddenly become to good to work? I reckon so. Makes my blood boil!! I'm starting to feel like Robert E. Rayford must feel.

If you want good young hard workers, hire a young Veteran. Sure you may have to give them a day off once a month for VA appointments, but the other days, they are reliable, hard working and ambitious.
Ambition... that's what's lacking these days.

I see it, and it's not just their 'desire" to work. It's their attitude toward work period. These young guys don't take their jobs seriously. Most don't understand why it's not ok be on the cell phone all day while trying to work. Wife/girlfriend calling them all day "just to see what they're doing", and vice versa.
Like previously said, it's not all of them...but from what I see, it's most of them in especially in the 30 and under crowd. Same bunch that elected Obama...go figure.

"Wife/girlfriend calling them all day "just to see what they're doing", and vice versa." I had the same problem with my wife several years ago when we first got married. After that happened several times, and I realized there were no real "emergencies" I told her to not call me during the day unless someone was dying, or I would get fired and she would have to live in the tent with me, she quit it...

Most of the 30 under people I work with are just dumb. IMO.

the reason is the tax burden placed on company's here. Good point Perch. Take a look at job migrations from state to state in the US in the last 10 years: AWAY from California in droves and toward Texas, North Carolina, and Arizona. The reason? An incredibly high tax burden, a regulatory climate that's suffocating, a crippling government bias toward unions, and a state government that doesn't give a crap if business thrives there or not. The same thing is happening on a national scale. What the US really needs to do is lower the damn corporate tax rate (currently the highest in the world), close loopholes to ensure that corporations pay their fair share (unlike GE), and eliminate/streamline these suffocating regulations from the Executive branch. Calvin Coolidge: "The business of America...is business."

We had one that thought you paid overtime if you draw a salary, problem was she wasn't working 40 hrs to begin with. We do have 2 very young ones that work their butts off, went thru more than too many to find these 2 A recent Poll found that these Millennials would take access to Facebook during the day OVER more money. don't look for me on Facebook, I'm not there and never have been, this forum is bad enough

The man who wants to give everyone something for nothing is wondering why the younger generation is lazy?
My opinions and comments are my own. They do not reflect the position or political opinions of Aldeer or any of the Aldeer administration.

There are lot of pretty well behaved and smart kids out there. We just need to make sure our government doesn't break them financially before they can do what generations have done before us. I'm not real optimistic that we can do that with the way our current administration is performing.
not sure what the best way to handle them is but they shouldnt be on tv and gettn married and raisin kids
