Does anyone here have one that they would recommend for a neck issue? Preferably in the Birmingham or Huntsville area.

Dr Dixit at SportsMED in Huntsville/Athens was highly recommended to me by coworkers and helped resolve my neck issues. One of the reviews that struck me when I was researching him said "They give a damn and listen". That was exactly what I was looking for.

Dr okor at UAB is the surgeon that surgeons go to for help
He worked on me 9 years ago

Charles Clark did my neck surgery. I’d highly recommend him

Dr Joel Pickett in Hsv did a coworkers neck rebuild after a motorcycle wreck broke his neck. He's doing fine today.

Dr Hadley at UAB fixed my dad's back

He did my dad’s back, my mom’s back fusion and brain tumor, my brother’s back and back fusion and my father in law’s back.

Dr Barton Guthrie at uab did mine a couple years ago when I had a tumor on my spinal cord. I can walk again thanks to him and the good Lord.

In Huntsville, Joel Pickett is one of the best neurosurgeons, but he’s so busy you might sit in a waiting room all day to see his nurse. My choice in Huntsville would be Brian Scholl

Anytime I need a referral to a specialist, I ask my primary doctor who he would go to if it were him? He hasn't steered me wrong yet.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

That’s an awful plan for some people because a lot of primary care doctors don’t know chit except the name of someone they went to med school with. There are some surgeons out there that are less than stellar.....they get referrals from primary care physicians.

Dr Jeffery Wade at Summit Orthopedic at Grandview did my boss's back & neck and a coworkers back in the past year and they both have high praises of him.

I do know what you’re saying. Even within medicine, people don’t know a lot about other specialties.

I think you missed the key part of my post. The key part was who would my primary doctor go to if he had the same issue. I'm pretty sure he would go to who he thinks is the best, not his drunken med school frat brother.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.
