Thought about getting some climbing sticks for lock ons. Is 15 kinda standard for them? “Killing tomorrow’s trophies today.” On the distance I like to walk to my stands: “The first 100 yards is also the last 100 yards.”

If there’s no cover, which is the case in a lot of places this time of year, I’ll get as high as I can to get out of normal line of sight but not give me too hard of an angle. Nothing stands out more than someone hanging off a slick tree about 20’ I like my hawk sticks. I did the rope modification using the lone wolf button. Loc on stands Give you more options on tree selection, but you knew that already.

I keep plenty of sticks so height that doesn't matter but I do prefer to be between 20 and 25ft. I mostly bow hunt and change sets often. I cant stand for a deer to come in and see a new ladder stand and follow the ladder right up the tree and look right at me.
