I’d let you track on me just because you were honest and asked first. A good deer deserves to be found! That’s terrible. Landowner needs to grow a pair too!
I enjoy tracking a deer as much as I do hunting. Hate that.

Have to get permission from the landowner is what the rulebook says not the lease holder Yeah but the owner would be breaking the terms of his lease with the hunters if he gave another hunter permission to do any hunting activity on the property. The leasee is an ass for not letting you track the deer but I would have said the same thing if I was the owner.... Ask permission from the people I lease it to.

Hope the leasee isn't a real Arse and finds the deer and keeps the horns. That's what I would be afraid of happening.
