I can count the number of times I've had a bird come into the front of my barrel right off the roost on one hand. This morning I set out for an all day hunt. Little did I know, I would only need less than an hour. Walking in, I heard a gobble very close on the creek. I quickly walked and set up off the road at an intersection where the creek crossing road comes in. I tried to resist calling but that dude was sounding off pretty hot. He gobbled no less than 20 times on the limb. I let out some faint tree yelps, clucks, then did a fly down cackle and slapped my hat in the air. A few more clucks then I shut up and listened to him gobble. About 20minutes later I heard drumming then a gobble from just down in the bottom that rattled my chest. I got my gun up and waited for that blue and white head to come bopping into view. The Nitro TTS load had him down with only minor flopping. It was maybe a 20 yard shot. What a great morning! Trail cam is an hour off, but this shot was cool. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/auPsjyB.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/neunbBX.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/gmSBm8Z.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/UB3W6aP.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/QaCOa0C.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/OA1ILQX.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/kugRLAk.jpg) Back home, showered, and bird cleaned by 8:00am.

Yea, several of the birds here in Macon county have had a lighter color to their fan feathers.
