I have to turn over/produce about 175 emails that reference a case we have. I don't want to print them all out along with all the attachments and back/forth replies. At least 700 pages I'd suspect. I have them all in one folder.

Somebody walk me through copying that folder so I can burn to a disc all the emails in a readable format. For some reason I'm having trouble getting this accomplished. Having to comply with a subpoena for document production.

Thanks!

I don't know about talking you through it, but if you want to bring it by the Fire Station Tuesday I can help you.

Is it a laptop? Is it full version of Outlook or Outlook express?

The easiest way is create an archive someplace easy to get to, then dump the files into the archive.

You can copy the archive onto a jump drive or portable hard drive and they can import them wherever they please.

File-New-Folder

Then select the messages, right click, and click Move to Folder. Select the folder you created, and you should be good.

You could also print a pdf copy of the emails with a PDF printer. Cute PDF does well, and is free.

I don't fool with archiving very often, so I'm simply confused on what to do.

I have my separate folder for the inbox.
I've set up a new folder under the archives and I've copied to it.

Problem: I cannot see the .pst files in that archive folder. So I cannot burn them to a disc.

What I am missing?

FFP: On a laptop with Regular Outlook-not express.

Once in that folder, you can do a file-export and export .pst files to another location, such as in your documents. You can then burn to a disc.

I understand the concepts but I cannot execute the function. I feel like the Ole Miss football team must have felt Saturday.

Geez this is frustrating. FFP, I might be finding you tomorrow. What's your schedule?

Can you do File>Export? If so, then select Export to a file. From the next screen, scroll to Personal Folder File (.pst)

I finally got the archive done. Now i'm on a different problem. Will not burn to a disc. Now I burn stuff all the time, so I should be able to figure this one out myself grin

Pretty sure you can just drag an email out of outlook an into another folder on the hard drive. Once you have all of the stuff in the folder you want then burn it to a disc or save to flash drive.
