Why are 22 Hornets so dang high. Savage 25 is the cheapest at around $550. CZ 527 is the best deal for about $100 more. Ruger 77/22 is ridiculous.

I don't get why so much $$$

Maybe so. I've had a couple that I've traded off. Guess I need to bite the bullet and pay the price or buy a .22 WMR and use the difference in $ to buy ammo. I can then sell the pile of Hornet brass I'm holding.

That CZ 527 is a sweet shooter. The guy that we hunt with in Texas has one in .204 and one in 17 Hornet. You can burn those coyotes up with them. They have the set trigger.
