Anybody heard anything about the woodsmaster. Anybody got one. I've got a 750 woodsmaster carbine in .35 Whelen. I've shot a couple boxes of shells through and it I've had no problems so far. Only trouble I have is getting the magazine to seat itself correctly. Once I get that there's no problem. I don't like the new magazines they feel light and cheap. Tried the magazine from an old 742 '06 that a friend of mine has and it worked like a charm. From what I've seen of them, if you get a good after market magazine you will be fine. Bought it brand new from Richie's pawn and gun for $527. The 30 '06's were $727 for some reason.

I've got a 742 in .308 that has never failed, in 36 years, not one misfire, jam or failure to cycle. But I don't want to get rid of it, either.

Finally got one. She gonna love this gun. Got the 742 woodsmaster scope and all for 250 and this gun is a nice gun. It's not a carbine like she had but she will like it.

the guy gave me a trade in allowance of $25 and i traded.
Because he knew it would take $10 and 10 minutes to fix it.
