water has nothing to do with CWD, it does EHD because the deer run a high temp.

I'll go with EHD, maybe survivors. It sometimes causes sore feet, makes em limp along, and lose weight. That much weight loss is not a good sign.

First deer I found dead was near water but not in water. She was pregnant so I thought may she had issues during delivery. Now that I am running cameras and getting these pictures and found other dead deer I am concerned that we may have a bigger problem.

I'd be betting on it being EHD. Like Troy said, these may be survivors and having to work their way back to health. Chronic EHD causes hoof rot or the hooves to slough off or break which I am sure is very painful and causes them to be lame.

I know we lost 1 buck last year that had issues with his feet so that adds up.

Sometimes with ehd their hooves will get wavy and crooked. Same with the antlers. At least that is what a disease ecologist told me concerning a buck we killed that had crazy hooves and antlers.

Exactly. It's not like EHD is an infection that is communicable between the deer. They cannot give it to each other. Also, if you've got deer cam pics of 3 different deer that are suspect of having it, chances are that you had a pretty significant outbreak and very well may have lost a whole lot more deer than just what you suspect or have found. I'd be real concerned about my herd if i had found several dead and I'm getting pics of deer that look like walking zombies.

You should report that to your game warden.

When you kill one this season, check it's hooves. If the look like they have splits in them they survived EHD.

EHD/Bluetongue. can get bad real quick. Our farm in Illinois had it 2 years in a row. Just starting to see some recovery.

What the @^%^% was that?

Ehd. Looks like some are walking rather gingerly, as if their feet hurt
