Well after stinking up Mitchell the past couple of weeks my buddy and I was blessed by God with a decent sack of spots that weighed 13.11 and was good enough for 8th place. There were 58 boats and was a good ran tournament trail. I recommend it to any one. 15 pounds was 1st and 2nd. Took around 11 pounds to get a check.

congrats. i'm fishin an open tourney on mitchell this weekend. i was there 3 weekends ago for our club tourney. any tips on what they're doin now?

DOES anybody know if there will be any open tourneys in Demopolis the 1st weekend in March?

As of right now I am not fishing it. I am fishing a club tournament. I may try to fish both if they will let me and donate to each one. I fished it last year and if my memory serves me correct it was a decent tournament. I think there were around 30-40 boats. We were blessed saturday with 13.11 pounds. We have not been able to get bit very well on Mitchell. It has been taking 15 pounds to win the last three weeks so if you can get a decent sack and a big fish you have a good chance of winning.

we'll good luck to yall. i can usually catch a decent sack down there, but i think there'll be a lot of weight brought to the scales this weekend. warmer temps, and cloud cover. but i may be wrong.

Look me up. If you see a guy saturday morning 36 years of age with a red basscat jacket on and a black toboggan that has mercury on it it will most likley be me. I will be fishing out of a grey or charcoal colored skeeter that is my partners boat.

two guys I fish with in my club took 3rd place. Both real nice guys and Christian folk at that...
Congrats. I wanted to look at that tour this year, but decided to fish the AlaFederation trail. Maybe next year..... if I can find a partner.

Well we got confirmation from the church that its o.k for us to fish both tournaments so I guess we will donate to both. We just have to wait and blast off with them instead of our club.

Tip is to watch and see how many boats go up river and then how many goes down river. Take that number and devide it by 50% and then multiply that number by 100 and head that direction.

I hear Ya Basscat,I am not a pro like you so I got to ask for suggestions on proper set up for fishing down there.
