Made it up in time to hang a double set for me and my daughter for tomorrow morning. I’m on the edge of a field this eve. Not feeling real Congo about this spot, but we’ll see.

Well....i shot a buck..probly a small yearlin 6pt..but first with a recurve..i made a bad shot an hit him back..im gonna try to go find him in the mornin..i think he bedded down near the last sight of him i had..hopefully..i can walk to him..but yall know how this goes

Well..as text book as a gut shot can go..i backed out yesterday evenin in the dark after i was sure i had seen the deer bed..and it paid off..walked nearly straight to him this mornin...he is a 5 point and scored a whoppin 53.875..points is points tho

Well it’s official. We are heading up to the camp for 5 days of bow hunting. It’s gonna be hot and miserable but I will just deal with it. It’s been a long wait to get back in the woods to hunt. Maybe I will get lucky and get some points.

Hunted today, got on some good sign an had a doe come in downwind...she smelled me...i just wasnt expecting them from the direction they came from. I walked up on her fawn on my way to the truck..cute fat little feller..one of the fattest fawns ive ever seen...he looked like a little pig.

I went to the camp this past weekend with intentions of hunting and filling feeders in prep of youth weekend... dang rain caused me to only get 1 afternoon hunt in and it was gusting wind. Letting our lease lay now until the girls can break out the guns. I may try to squeeze a hunt in on some public between now and then, we'll see.

Well..i shot at a doe yesterday...by shot i mean i clippped her back enough to cut hair an a little meat. I judged her to far an aimed a little high an she ducked some too. Oh well i rekin...i hate it when it happens but it does happen sometimes. I been inem purty thick lately tho..been alot of work.

Change of plans. I wasn’t going g back to the camp till the firearm season but our water well got damaged and have to head up Thursday to fix it. Beings I’m gonna be there and the season is open, I’m gonna bring my bow and hopefully hunt a few days also. Berna few years since I killed a deer with my bow. Trying to change that.
