End up fumbling a snap from under center because that’s not what they are used to. Thompson would recover and it would be the coaches fault for going under center. You can’t win.

Yea - I just heard from somebody who saw it - he caught it 3 times in the shotgun and danced around and gave up yards each time - ended up going from like 35 (almost in field goal range) and backed up well across mid field 🤣🤣

I watched some highlights.......they were under center a few times......I guess my point is it’s always easy to second guess now......did anyone besides me think the punter took awhile to get the ball off? Also on the onsides kick......they looked like they were 5 and 5.......you can no longer overload a side the most now being 6 and 4......so they have numbers either way and it can get tricky.........did anyone think that the kid on the onsides basically just o-layed the ball instead of making a play? Not saying I’m right or wrong but that’s just sort of how I saw it......I could be way off

Yea - The guy that told me about the drop backs said it looked like it took the punter forever to get punt off - like He in slow motion

He then said the kid the ball was kicked to on the onside - acted like he did not want to recover it - shy away from it. I hav seen that with our high school team before

This has got to be a “fake” game? Not sure what to call it. As a coach for 15 years just so much wrong with that last minute.
It almost looks as if, no one in blue has a clue what to do? Maybe they are shocked they are winning and lost reality?
It’s the title game and I’m gonna need more excitement from the team! I mean if your gonna kneel run around a bit, take time off.
If you watch the punter, he almost allows the block and then walks????
Take your entire team and put on the line to win that onside kick.
Then the player backs away from winning the kick and allows other team to recover?

Just terrible preparation. Man it’s hard to watch that as a coach.
OR was this game rigged? I mean I don’t even see any passion from the coach and rallying his team?

It was bad. I think coach just chocked.

The punter was extremely slow and then just stood there. So bizarre.

Congratulations to the Thompson kids and I hate it for the Auburn ones. That’s a horrible way to lose and it will bother them young men a long time.

Friend of ours son plays for Auburn high. I feel for him.

I watched the game. No one has mentioned that after Thompson recovered the on side kick, that Auburn defense committed 2 blatant pass interference calls that kept the Thompson charge alive and allowed them to get into field goal range.
As the Thompson coach said in a post game interview, the game is never over till the last second is off the clock. Auburns coach thogut they had it won with 2 minutes remaining and will have a long time to think about this one.

Rumor down in Baldwin County is Gulf Shores offered the Thompson coach $180,000 and basically anything else he wants

Why would he take the pay cut?😂
