I will be live from Black Warrior today. The rut is wide open in the area I’m hunting. I’m set up where 4 different fingers of hardwood ridges come together 80 yards from a huge thicket. 3 of the fingers has hardwood thickets from half way down to the tips. So there is plenty of bedding options to choose from. Multiple trails zig zagging ever which way around me and it’s wide open shooting. There is several red oaks around me the deer have been feeding on and at least 12 rubs within 40 yards with a couple of scrapes. Yeah sounds like I hit jack pot, but I put out a ton of scent yesterday scouting in here and have no idea where these deer may come from. I need to get a kill this coming week before the December lull kicks in. Good luck y’all.
It is hard to kill or catch anything sitting on the couch!

Seen a total of 19 deer this morning, 3 bucks and the rest does. Only decent buck was about 60 yards walking away. When the does came by abunch of them bedded down. The one I shot had a staring contest with me for what felt like an eternity. She finally got up walked behind a tree I drew and now she’s in a cooler. Good luck everyone out today!

This afternoon I’m breaking my own rule. Hunting the same spot 3 climbs in a row. I never ever climb in a spot more than twice in a two week period. Well today is the day. To much buck sign in here not to see one. Good luck this afternoon everyone.
