They must be looking for some good PR or something.......Enforcing the confirmation numbers at the processor is what is causing a big increase in the number reported......Because of that you can't really make a call as to how we compare to years past

More road blocks.....and increased push for the GW writing tickets.........more articles on social media threatening the hunters with penalties.......

How are they calling it a "record year" anyways? Didnt we kill twice as many as we are now back in the 90's and early 2000's???

The really screwed up thing…..other than them bullchitting everyone about a record year…….is that from a statistical standpoint……whether or not we have 35% participation or 55% participation really doesn’t give us any better data for decision making…..Either one is giving you a large enough sample to be accurate and its probably not getting very much more accurate from 35-55……..All of this is just being done basically to force us to do it……and when its all said and done its just that much longer now before any of it is actually useful…… I suspect there will be a little bit more of a rise in participation next year due to them continuing to clamp down. It may be 3-5 more years before we actually have a stable participation rate.

They’re doing nothing but trying to advertise how “great” the deer hunting in AL is to sell more licenses!! . Those were my thoughts.

Got to justify keeping the one a day doe slaughter intact to keep those out of state $$ flowing into AL. Lots of complaints in recent years and calls for a reduced doe harvest. Best way for Chuckie to avoid having to deal with his own mis-management of the herd is to use Chuckie check to say “everything is fine. See record number of deer killed this year”. Come on to AL, spend you $$ on lodging, licenses, food and leases! The hunting is great. Better than ever!”

I think this is so funny. Don't you guys realize this game check is a joke. Game check is only for Hunting Clubs, because they don't want you to shoot more than another member. Private land owners do what they want. More than likely the total deer harvest is more like 500,000. More than half the kills go un-reported. Every 10 to 40 acre block, filled with corn feeders and numberous deer kills goes un- reported. Stop talking about this and realize this is all about government control and money. I agree with most of your statement except this line. I don't see how a statewide game rule is going to affect members of a hunting club.

First rule in most hunting clubs is that "State game laws will be followed". Members police their own. Let a guy kill 3 bucks and watch how many members(that have not killed 3) become enforcer's.
