With season wrapping up, let's just take a semi-scientific poll on your season.
Compared to the last 5 season, would you say this season was:

D - my sightings were way down. 4 bucks opening morning and then not another till 1/15. Normally herds of does to watch and at least keep my attention...5 opening morning, 2 that afternoon and then not another till mid-january. Was a weird year for me.
The harder I practice, the luckier I get.

B Iām saying better than other years because I killed my best buck ever and I had several more really good deer for my area seen. I just couldnāt close the deal on them for one reason or the other. Overall number of deer sightings was down this year.

A) put a 10 and 11 on the wall.
Highlight was success putting a couple of youths on some deer.
Feel thankful and blessed, Could have been much worse

I kill two good deer for my area, but would rank the season as a D due to lack of sightings, inconsistency of movement, etc... Same for me. Killed 2 on WMA I probably wouldnāt have shot on club/private but numbers seen were way down from the last couple years.

Slightly better than last year because I shot a big buck this year, but also slightly worse because it was the first time I've ever shot a deer and wasn't able to find it. Our property produced several nice bucks. We all let some nice young deer walk and a neighbor for sure killed the biggest deer I had on camera. Win some and lose some kind of year.
