The article says landowners can now but they want to set a season and sell permits to everyone. Yeee haa lets find something else to sell permits for.

Where is the money going? That would be what I wanted to know before a made a decision to be pissed. It takes money to make things go round and round.....What if the money went to pay for a coyote bounty program or something similar that went back into helping to manage the resource? Would you be pissed about that? It's not like its mandatory to buy a permit and hunt at night........I like the fact that they are opening up the option.

I guess it might be a little different for folks who lease but I happen to have a 200 acre back yard and I will "target practice" anytime I please day or night and decide what type "target" I shoot. I certainly wont be buying a permit to do so. All of this is getting ridiculous

I dont get it.....Does anyone stop and think about these things or just start hollering foul? There has to be some middle ground to managing the wildlife.....It's not all or nothing......It cant be I'll do completely as I please.,,,,but I get it about being regulated to death.....Some things are justified though and probably good ideas. Some maybe not so much....I would consider this one a good one if fees go to the right place

That is the subject of this thread not "all game" I guess I should have clarified I was referring to Hogs and Coyotes.

Yes.....as in......if I manage to get a shot on one of them I'm gonna take it. That doesnt however mean that I get to go rogue and just do how I please. I'd love to go down to the club right now and cap this 8 year old 3 pt we got running around but I cant just go do it because that's what I want to do. The masses are just unrealistic about how things have to operate.....I'm am completely on the "less regulation" bandwagon as I've made clear with other posts......But I dont have some unrealistic idea that we can all just do as we please with no rules.

I also wondered where the money would go. I don’t trust it to be used for a good purpose. Also, this will be almost impossible to enforce. I’m all about doing the right thing but just because the government says it is right doesn’t put it in that category. This seems, yet again, like another money grab.

I imagine from an enforcement standpoint selling permits just helps keep folks from being able to go out and poach unchecked....It's not an end all cure all but it probably helps a little.......I imagine that's one of the biggest drawbacks to doing something like this.....Someone could just claim that they were out hog hunting or coyote hunting.....Of course money is always gonna be involved......That's what pays for things......Making sure it goes to the right places is the most important thing in my mind

I read this earlier and what I remember not too long ago I could get a permit for free to shoot hogs at night and over bait as long as it wasn’t deer/turkey season Now they’re suggesting we pay for it Guys hogs and coyotes are not game animals they are however a nuisance that needs to be eradicated and both are very rough on deer and turkey I have a lifetime license to shoot them any day because there is a no closed season on them I will not buy what was free not long ago and presumably still is to some people
When I need expert advice I tend to talk to myself The older I get the better I used to be
