Goin to a friends place this morning

Back in the forest. I don’t have a friend with a place. I do have a friend with a camper, and after two nights in a cold tent I appreciate it more than ever. Blessings.

Happy Easter fellas! Went to a buddies place a small lease had 3 wearing it
Out across property line so we set up 50 yds off the fence on our side. Text book hunt came right to us gobbled in are face and got hung up on the fence so they live another day

Had one gobble on limb. Silence since

Reeeeeel quiet here. Heard 1 bird across paved road on neighbor. Not a peep on my side. Only got 30-45 min til I gotta go.

Very grateful to hear one gobble good on limb - he was cross creek on neighbor and so we’re his hens but after hearing nothing and going at until 11:30 yesterday- just glad to hear one

Happy Easter Guys

Nice morning for gobbling. Had one roosted just over the line down in a creek bottom hammering early and often. Never could convince him to come out in the clear cut. Also had a group of jakes cutting up just beyond him and I gotta say they are the goofiest sounding things in the woods. They kept hammering with their little yodeling type gobble for a while and it cracked me up.

Went to another spot down the road and I made the grave mistake of calling before I was set up just trying to locate one. I round the corner of a logging road and a longbeard is standing there looking for me, ain't said a peep. I just turned around and backed out. Had another longbeard come out of the woodline according to my cell cam after I called so I'll definitely need to get back here soon.

Had one gobbling good on the limb. Got set up on him and as soon as I sat down I knew I should have went on around the hill. I got lazy. He flew down and gobbled straight to where I new I should have gone. Tried to get around to him but he out flanked me. Nothing since then.

Silence here this morning.

We killed a good one about 7:40. 2 big gobblers with 10 hens. One of them did all of the gobbling and strutting.

Been after him for a while.
