I had the same problem a while back, its about the size of the cable. The one's that you get from Walmart or in one of those roadside emergency kits are too skinny and don't pull enough juice, they wires get hot fast. Fortunately my neighbor had some fat wire cables that did the job. Go to your local auto shop and find the heavy duty variety, it should say for tractors and large trucks on the box.

NOCO boost. I charge for around a day or so via USB. Then carry it around. I've jumped plenty of vehicles off using that little thing. I'll never carry jumper cables again, plus I don't need someone else's battery. Bought mine on Amazon.
Been here long enough to go from "bring 'da pain" to " bring 'da pain meds.

Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many!

Y’all saying this little thing can jump? I’ve never been able to trust them. No sense in not carrying it with jumper cables also. It’s often tough to get two vehicles close enough to jump, like a dead tractor in a barn. This thing is great for that.
