Been so busy, hadn't posted anything on here in a while. I swore to myself I was gonna really slow down this summer on taking on any side work, but somehow or another that really didn't pan out. Finally got it all done, and was able to work on some projects for myself for a change. Anyway, for all you guys that like to build and tinker with different things, though I'd show some off. This was my first shot at cabinet making. I came up in the trades f aluminum boat building and pipe welding, but have done a fair amount of carpentry work, having framed my house and a few camps, and plenty trim type work. Pleased how this came out. Had the idea to do it since building my house and just finally got around to it this past year. Faces and tops are all solid cypress and the ends and door panels are 3/4 and 1/4 cypress veneered plywood. I was actually able build solid cypress cabinets for way less money than just buying some cabinets from a big box store, and got a much more built in look this way. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/X1gsMaJ.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/wpKolws.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/XMp0pDJ.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/0RptnMa.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/CSDjdZk.jpg) While I was still in wood working mode, built a solid walnut dinning room table for my wife that I had been promising her since building the house. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/hVWHk9y.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/fNEOcuw.jpg)

Fine work! That winch bumper is awesome.

Nice!
What did you use to finish the Walnut? I just used oil based poly from the big box stores on the cabinets and the table. Semi gloss. Finish came out decent, but far from perfect. Appreciate all the kind words fellas!

I’m embarrassed at how incredibly lazy I am. My spare time from work is spent eating and lounging when it’s not hunting season.
