I decided to back out after discussion with owner so I'm pretty sure it's back open. Its a 240 volt so I didn't get it.

There should be a wiring diagram on the inside cover on the side of the motor where the curly black wire is going in. Most of the older saws (I dont know the age of this one) were able to be wired for 120 or 240. Post a model number or see it the motor plate reads 120/240 0r 115/230 and that is a indicator.
