I have two trees in my yard and just looked at them. There are more Pecans on them than I have seen in quite a number of years. This usually bodes well for the acorns as well which in turn bodes poorly for the hunting unless you are sitting in a hot patch of oaks. This always leads to the masses screaming that we've killed too many deer and there are not any left.

We had more pecans than I can remember in many years, last year and our trees are loaded again this year!

Pecans were loaded here, too, last year - folks were saying that years of abundant pecans correlate with hurricanes.....Hope they are wrong!

My saw tooth's had none last year, first time they had not had acorns, the are loaded this year.. but usually gone before the season even starts..

We are loaded up again on our trees this year too, except for one of our older trees. For some reason it only produces about every 4-5 years. I can’t figure it out. Every time I think about making it into firewood it produces big.
