^^^Go light for caliber with the ttsx and pick up the additional velocity. I’d personally go with the 120gr ttsx in the 08. I dropped from 165-180gr bondeds to 150 gr in my .300 when I switched over to the ttsx 2 yrs ago and never looked back. It’s a great bullet and that 150 is smoking when it leaves at 3310fps.

Great bullets! I run 168gr ttsx and tsx in my .300 RUM, 127 lrx in my 6.5 creedmoor, 130 gr ttsx in my .308 and 80gr ttsx in my girlfriends .243, so I guess you can say I have a strong affinity toward them lol

I guess I’ll be the party pooper. I haven’t noticed anything special about them. Been shooting 140gr out of 2 different 7/08’s and performance is good, just not superior to anything else I’ve seen. I still am searching for a bullet that will shore nuff open one up. Blood trails with the ttsx hasn’t been as expected.
Picked up some accu-bonds, Norma soft point and fusions. I will probably start with the fusions or Norma this year depending on what each gun likes.
If I can find some old school partitions, I’ll likely go back to those.
Ya'll are just overthinking it now

If I can find some old school partitions, I’ll likely go back to those. I’ve shot several deer with a 120 grain NBT out of my 7-08. Very impressive blood trails. The 120 grain NBT in the 7mm is a tough bullet. I doubt I’ll ever shoot a mono.

![[Linked Image]](https://i.postimg.cc/Wd7STfCr/56-D97-AD6-9-FD0-4-A7-C-A9-DF-C369-D3415784.jpg) This is the only one I have recovered. Not a 7-08 but a 130 gr out of a 308. Like others have said, drop the weight for higher velocity. I noticed better performance dropping from 150 grainers. Yep, that's the load for a .308 . My son and I both shoot the 130s in 308. Blood trails a plenty , but that really doesn't matter when they're DRT or never make it out of sight.

TTSX is all I use in all my deer calibers. I load them as hot as possible and I don’t mind dropping a little weight to up the speed. The last six deer I killed dropped right there. I think the key to it staying together and expanding uniformly well is the copper.

Most of the blood trail comes from dragging them out, 9 times out of 10 it’s a bang/flop kind of deal.

N2TRKYS loaded up some 120’s for my 6.5PRC. Can’t wait to see how they perform on a whitetail.
