We always visit the Thai Garden in Five Points, in Huntsville.

Come in on 431, turn right on California, go past the cemetery into Five Points and it's on the corner of Cali and Wellman on your right at the main light at the five-street intersection.

Pad Thai is a good, easy dish if you're getting started. If you tell them "make it hot," you might get lit up. They can make it pretty darn hot. I usually get a chicken dish. Good stuff.

Can't help up there but make sure you try some Red Curry Chicken and some Pad Thai noodles. Tom Kha soup is also very tasty if done right.

Also, when they say hot, they mean really hot. Their hot is twice as hot as mexican hot. It is great food however. Probably my families favorite.

I just looked at the menu of the place Clem recommends. I don't see Red Curry Chicken. What is that about? Best stuff in the world. I do see Green Curry Chicken however. Most of the time they use beef with the green curry, but I would try that as well as the Pad Thai. The Green Curry is very similar to red curry. I also see Laab (usually spelled Larb) as a salad dish. It is a great appetizer. Try that also.

Good stuff. Try some Indian food too if you like spicy. On the Thai food they will give you a choice on how spicy you want it. Medium is just what it says. I order mine Hot but you can get it Thai Hot if you really like it spicy. Pad Thai chicken or shrimp is a good choice for a first timer. Happy early birthday.

Makes me eat ice cream and chit in a creek for about 3 days, but I still eat it.

Just order and don't ask for "Thai hot".
It will be hot enough. I love it Thai hot,but look like I've been soaked with a hose after eating it. Even my scalp sweats.

It's good stuff. Maybe you like and can handle "hot" food. Thai is a little different hot. Be careful. wink

I love eating Thai food for breakfast right before going deer hunting. Makes for a warm and sometimes interesting outcome later on that day! grin

I like the curry fish at Taste of Thailand in Birminham. It's on Lorna Road.

They also make a dish not on the menu called Duck Noodle Soup.

My wife always gets Chicken Pud Thai.
