Can't speak to Alabama but in Florida, he would be eligible for the antibodies and I would have him go get the injections. Covid is so unpredictable, you just never know how it will affect people.

Not necessarily…he has to reach a certain BMI/have other high risk stuff to qualify. I don’t have the list memorized as they are in our clinic etc

Keep him hydrated and he should be fine in a day or two, assuming he doesn't have some serious underlying issues. Prayers for a speedy recovery.

The Rapid tests are notoriously unreliable...and false results are typically false positives.

Andalusia is correct in Florida. There are no real qualifications for the monoclonal antibody including a positive test is not required ( If your family member or contact has a positive test - you can receive infusion) . However, if my 15 year old tested positive and was totally asymptomatic I would give him Vit D3 / Zinc and treat the symptoms initially. That is as long as he is healthy and has no comorbidities such as obesity, DM, asthma, etc. There is a 10 day window to receive the antibody if he were to develop symptoms. Interesting…up in Tennessee where I’m at we can’t give it except if they meet certain parameters. Though I definitely agree with the management you listed if it was my 15 yo child

This ^^^. I took a rapid test a month ago. Two to a pack. First was positive snd the second negative. I had to go to the Doc-n-the-Box to break the tiebreaker..

I've read just the opposite that they have a tremendously high rate of false negatives, which was the case in my situation. Regardless, my regular doctor said they are so unreliable that he doesn't even consider them in his office. I went in and he took one look at me and my chart and said I more than likely had Covid. I said but I just tested negative and that is when he told me how unreliable the rapid tests are.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

To me you might as well flip a coin if it’s negative. Very few false positives but I usually don’t believe the negatives. The PCR usually confirms my suspicion

When my wife called about the antibody infusion, he was the only one that qualified in our household. He had fairly mild symptoms so there was no need in him getting the infusion. They told us anyone that tested positive could get the infusion here in AL, but that was prior to 46 cutting the southern states availability. Could have changed since then though
