Tested positive January 4, 2022. Lost taste and smell same day. Coughed terrible for 5 days and had runny nose. I still cant taste or smell and I have zero energy. Brain fog is really bad. Still don't feel too good.

You probably had the delta variant. There is still some of that going around too.

I didn’t get tested for what it’s worth. Just before Christmas I had the flu-vid. For about 4 days I had standard flu symptoms: fever of up to 101.4, chills, body aches and headache, sinus congestion with drainage followed by sore throat. Then I got better , enough to commit to a limited entry New Years Eve party downtown. I went to my mother’s house for a X-mas day evening dinner and was good but I kept a healthy distance from others. And I stayed good until about 9:30 NYE. First, my feet felt like they were swelling(not sure if they were but I was in socks in dress shoes and I literally went back to the truck and took the socks off). Then I became short of breath. I just didn’t feel like I was getting the air I needed. Like a huge hand was gripping my upper chest. Luckily, my GF is a cardiac nurse. I was open about what I was feeling. She asked questions and had a watch that takes EKGs and BoLs. I was anxious, obviously, which didn’t help. Ekg was good but my Bol was down around 93%. Im 43 and in good shape. We went home. I had two very uncomfortable days with off/on breathing issues. Another few days behind that with spells of lethargy that would last and hour of so.

It was exactly like what I had Christmas of 19, just about half the duration

Two weeks of that crap.

How does one know which you have? Just assuming most recent variant?

Like other's have said it is difficult to compare different experiences, but I'll tell you mine for what it's worth.

I'm normally very healthy, I never get sick.

1/12 I came back from several days at the plant in Mobile and started to feel feverish. Convinced I had Covid, I went to the doctor on Friday 1/14. They checked for Covid and the Flu. Turned out I had the flu. Took vitamin C, and Zinc, along with some Ibuprofen for the fever. Started feeling better by 1/18 and took my Dad to a doctor's appointment at the Kirkland clinic. I started to feel worse by the time I got back to Fort Payne. The next morning I got up and couldn't taste anything, so I called the doctor again. I got tested on 1/20 and was positive for Covid.

Since then I have had pretty bad headaches. They have been like a really tight headband wrapped around my head, the pain was to the point to where when I coughed it felt like my head was going to explode. I've had lots of fatigue, on a scale that I can never remember experiencing before. I would get up and do stuff, because I thought I should, and then afterwards, feel like I needed to sit in the recliner and take a nap.

My taste and smell, was almost nonexistent for several days, but has started to come back. I think as of today it's almost fully back, but some stuff definitely taste different and smells different.

As of today, I still have the stuffy head, some fatigue and a pesky cough, but I'm hopefully on the mend. I worked part of the day today, but needed a nap after lunch, and napping is pretty rare for me.

I started feeling bad this past Wednesday afternoon and tested positive on Thursday. Pretty much the same symptoms everyone has mentioned…..felt like I had the flu, low grade fever, cough and the worst sore throat I have ever had. Got an infusion on Friday along with prescription of steroids. Started feeling better on Saturday, but now I have this dull headache that seems to persist.

According to the night sweats I had Omicron. It was the cough that hung around for several days that would mess up the hunt as someone else stated. Going good and wham...coughing fit.

Two weeks ago granddaughter and wife had it so I tested Wen. a week ago , came back neg. Well following Sunday I started feeling rough. Mostly upper respiratory and sinus. As a life long allergy / sinus sufferer I just thought business as usual . Monday I really felt rough but had sever joint and muscle pain in my lower body, it was a long day at work . Next day actually felt better but wife wanted me to take a home test . I popped positive and had a mild fever. I felt much better Wednesday but went to the doc anyway . Got a shot and a hand full of pills. Other than a stuffy head by Friday I was back 100%. Doc said days 2-4 is the roughest with this variant . Other than the sever body aches and fever I've had sinus infections worse . Never lost taste or smell.

I had fever for 3 days took advil and Alka seltzer cold. Also had sore throat for 7 or 8 days I took throat lozenges, but it would sore as hell. My symptoms started Monday midnight Friday morning I was hunting

Tested positive January 14th, scratchy throat, runny nose, and slightly fatigued. My symptoms never got any worse and lasted for 4 or 5 days. I took ivermectin, generic cold and flu meds, and my normal vitamins(zinc, d3, niacin, vitamin c).

That was my 2nd time having covid. 1st time was November 2020.

I’ve had covid twice now and it’s been more of a stomach bug for me both times. I’ve totally lost my sense of smell both times however

Guess I'm still covid free? Or maybe I've had it and didn't know? I've been traveling wide open (25K miles in last 8 months) + 6 or 7 round-trip plane rides. Still running wide open. Stopped listening to the idiots long ago.

I had hangovers that were worse. I drove 700 miles back from Texas during the worst of it if than answers your question. Not trying to be a tough guy. I did have to pull over to briefly vomit around Tuscaloosa, but that might be normal as I have adopted Auburn as my team.
