I traded into Browning Bar that the guy had spray painted it pine needle green. What is the best way to remove the paint? My plan is to have the metal cerekoted and refinishing the wood. Just got to get that hideous paint job off.

citrastrip works good. Glob it on and wrap the painted parts tightly in a couple layers of aluminum foil then let it sit for a few days or weeks depending on how good the paint’s adhesion seems. Worth corking the barrel to keep crap out of the inside. Be ready to clean well and dry the metal for refinishing cause it could flash rust.

Yep. Quick and easy fix. You can soda blast the wood but it will degrade any checkering.

I wouldn't worry about it...if you're gonna have it cerakoted, they are gonna abrasive blast it anyway.
The paint will come off and save you the hassle.

I did a half ass job on a Franchi 912 that had the camo coming off. I soaked the parts in acetone and just about all of the camo came off.

Bug spray (Off) seems to work wonders on removing paint from my shotguns.
