Heard a story about a body on I459 in Hoover. The story says it was on the roadway from 3:30ish am on Monday till 1pm Tuesday?

I drive that section multiple times a day. Never saw anything. I don't know what clothing he had on, they say it was a black male. I don't know how you can hit something and not stop to see what it was.
Literally thousands of cars pass through there every day. Everyone must be staring at their phones. I do know you don't want to take your eyes off the road, even for a second, in that stretch. Cars passing, speeding, crossing multiple lanes and stomping breaks to get into the lanes they need make it a dangerous proposition to look anywhere but in front.

Two separate guys that work for me saw it yesterday morning, one at 7:30 and the other about an hour later. Both said they thought it was a deer. Report I saw is it wasn't called in until 12:30 that afternoon.

They way they described it it was half in-between the two outside lanes and people where having to dodge it. I don't understand how it could have been there that long and not one single police officer or trooper did not see it.

People don’t pay a dang bit of attention to what’s in the road. Not a bit.

I actually saw it and thought it was a deer. Couldn't figure out why one would be crossing right there. I didn't see any clothes. There was a lot of blood and pieces scattered which made it unrecognizable as to what it was. I even commented to the guy driving that it was a mess when we passed it. I saw it Tues. around 9 a.m.The fact there wasn't a car there took the idea of it being a human out of the thought process.

That is terrible for a human to not be recognizable when compared to other road kill.

I know a gal who was driving outside of Houston on the interstate at night, just going back to her apartment. Some random dude walks out on the interstate and she ran him over. She never had a chance to see him while going 70. The big problem was that about 15 to 20 other folks ran the guy over too including a cement truck and a couple of 18 wheelers. Total random thing but it does happen. They figured out the guy was wasted drunk and coming back from a bar but his buddies got tired of him so they kicked out on the side of the interstate.

Don't sound like to good a "buddies" if they kicked him out on a dang interstate.

My wife saw it early that morning and she said her first impression was that it was a bear. She obviously knew that wasn’t true so dismissed it as some unknown animal. She said it was a mess when she passed by it and that’s why she remembers it (plus the bear impression). I think it was one of those things that when you come up on it at 70mph in tight traffic you don’t have time to evaluate it. Especially in the condition it was in

Monday night I watched a crash happen as I turned right. Pretty hard hit and no one stopped for a minute it seemed. I was about to turn around and finally someone stopped. And then the cops showed up. Literally 5-7 vehicles went around the crash and kept going.

The black car was practicing drafting and working thru traffic prior to the crash where they did not yield to oncoming traffic.

It was 5:45am when I came through there, it was a bloody mess and I did swerve to keep from hitting the larger parts. My thought was damn hogs done made it to Hoover. I will say that 60 mph in the dark with cars in front of you and cars behind you, it makes it difficult to slow enough to observe something black in the dark.

Supposedly the person jumped off the bridge that goes over the interstate right there, so was more than likely a mess initially

Heck, that aint nothing. There was a dead black panther on the side of the road up at way someplace and nobody even got a picture.

About 1978 a friend of mine drove from Leeds to Texas to apply for a hunting guide job, which he got. Driving there he saw a dead man on the side of the road. Three days later while returning it was still there.

I bet they had to use a flat shovel and a pressure washer to clean that mess up
