I have an acquaintance that is starting a business in Alabama making/selling thc products. He gave me a few samples to try which included the delta 8. I decided to try one last night as I struggle with sleep every night. I got to be honest, he warned me to start with a 1/2 but it usually takes a good bit for me to sleep so I thought a whole gummy would be ok. I’ve never smoked anything in my life or used any illicit drugs so I have no measuring stick. That being said, it tore me up. I wanted to sleep but was more interested in eating ice cream and seeing what was going to appear next. Finally fell asleep around 11 but woke up at 1 as usual so not really the desired effect for rest but I may give it another try at 1/2 the dosage. Just thought I’d share.

Delta 8 is legal in AL. Funny that you posted this CAL. I've not slept one night in my life, from birth until now. I started drinking some Bourbon before bed and that worked, but I felt like crap the next day. I had a doctors appointment this past week and talked with him about it. I've tried every product on the market to help me sleep. None of them work. He said he had lots of patients that smoked pot for insomnia, but I can't do that. Just wouldn't feel right in doing so. I bought some Delta 8 gummies Friday and last night I slept 9 straight hours without waking up, even to pee. Best nights sleep I've had in decades. It didn't have any adverse side effects on me. There's a veterans owned company in TN that makes Delta 8 gummies. I'm going to order some from them.

I took one a few months ago as my wife takes them for sleep. Knocked me out and I slept like a baby. I had a little foggy feeling the next morning though I didn’t care for. Fur, probably the only con to this for you will be that you will build up a tolerance quickly. If it works for you the way it did for me years ago when i got on the pot, youll get a couple weeks then itll take more. Eventually itll just be a shadow of what you first experienced. Maybe even then itll continue to help you sleep. Good luck, i hope it works out to be a help to you.

So I got some personal experience on this subject. So the actual molecule the DEA made illegal many moons ago is THC Delta 9. Delta 8 is one of many canniboids in Marijuana like CBD. The difference is Delta 8 gets you high like Delta 9. Why it took all this time to figure out, I got no idea. Some states are trying to make it illegal and some jurisdictions may even prosecute because it is not legalized CBD.

That being said...I am not a prude and have had my experiences with numerous substances in my misspent youth. However, the absolute most insane experiences I had came from ingesting and not smoking. Many people go into near psychosis with edibles that would be fine smoking Marijuana. The same is true with Delta 8.

I ran out of my usual CBD oil last summer and stopped at a head shop to resupply. I usually get it from Amazon, but I wasn't that patient. I bought what I thought was CBD but turned out to be Delta 8. The bottle recommended a few drops, but I took a full dropper like I do my CBD with out realizing or knowing what I was doing.

A couple hours later it kicked in unexpectedly. I was very confused as I did not remeber participating in anything that would get me stoned. I can only describe as the most stoned one could be with a hit of acid. I did not connect the two until I was in the hospital trying to determine if I had a psychotic break or had a stroke. It also crashed my blood sugar which they initially thought explained my psychological symptoms.

Fortunately a good friend showed up and sat with me in the hospital room. Seven hours and a couple sandwiches later I was able to head home.

Keep in mind I am very comfortable with cannabis legalization and use. I am not a choir boy.... Some people would be better off just finding a bag and smoking it. High is high and when you ingest as opposed to smoke it bonds in the liver and actually alters it chemically. This can result in very intense highs and even psychosis even if you smoke like Cheech and Chong.

Stay safe friends, start small if you choose to expirement with edibles Delta 8 or otherwise.

I don't know what kind of Delta 8 you got ahold of Tex, but what I took didn't do anything other than make me sleepy. I didn't feel weird, stoned, funny, fuzzy or anything. Just got really tired.

I had to change from Neurontin to Restaril because of my restlessleg. Let me tell you now, the new script, I can take about an hour before I want to go tot bed, and it kicks in. 6-7 hours of good sleep. NOTHING like Ambien. Ambien is the devil, period.

Some folks can tolerate Ambien ok but I’m with you. No bueno for me.

My wife takes the delta 8 every once in a while, it knocks her out. It does the opposite on me, I have to take it 4 hours before bed
