Well it's been a long 2.5 months. After the surgery Ada got that infection. We doctored her leg every 2 days thank God my wife is a nurse and was able to keep it from getting infected again. The wounds were large but wouldn't heal because of the splint stabilizing her leg. Last week the vet removed the pins after seeing the leg bone healed enough to keep it stable. Im glad to say the wounds have all but closed up. She is baring weight on it more each day. I'm still gonna keep her from tracking being she's 10yo and she's earned her retirement papers. My other dog Heidi will be my go to this year and she's more than capable. She has a hatred for a love wounded deer. Plus I have planned to get a pup this summer or fall depending on the breeding that is gonna take place. Ada has made several hunters on here happy along with countless others in her lifetime. Not sure if I'll ever have one quite like her but we will see.

It isn't necessary to see a good tackle...you can hear it.
