As a Ford F-150 guy all my life, i was thinking about trading my truck on a new Jeep wrangler unlimited v6. I've always loved the idea of having a jeep, but would it serve me well? Can any of you provide any Pros/cons on the jeep? now i will disclose i have a 17ft alweld stick steer boat. which isn't that heavy and would pull it just fine, I think. Any advice would be welcome.

You talking a 2 door? My first wifes best friends hubby had one of the 2 door ones, and it was the roughest riding thing I have ridden in, short of my driving my subcompact tractor thru a field I just subsoiled.

We have one we use as a toy.I would not want to use it as an everyday vehicle. There is not as much cab room as in my truck and no cargo room at all.It does not ride as good as my truck either. It does park easy(single cab) and gets decent gas mileage.

my 2018 ford has only 45k miles. basically the only driving i do is pulling the boat to the lake, or going to the hunting land.

I’ve e had 5 Jeep’s currently have 2 Unlimited Jeep’s. One is and LJ(2 door) and one is a JKU which would be what you are talking about. How big a feller are you? They can be tight for bigger fellers. It ain’t a Honda. They ride well, do great off-road and would pull the boat fine.

The UNLIMITED models are all 4door

For a short time in the early 2000s, the Unlimited was offered in a 2 door.

83% of all statistics are made up.

That's my size if you add 20lbs. I fit OK in my wife's Jeep.

Pros- Cool AF, Top and doors off is fun. Easy to accessorize. Decent gas mileage. Did I mention how cool they are?
Cons- Poor towing limits, average HP engine, rough ride unless on a very smooth rd.

I have a F150 and a 2018 JL four door. The Jeep is a good play vehicle and I hunt out of it. But the lack of storage and hauling room and the stiff ride are why I use the F150 when going to the hunting land but not hunting.

I had one. It was fun for a while but I got over it and sold it. Just bought my first car last week, I’ve had trucks and SUV’s my entire life until now:

New Jeeps are possibly the most unreliable vehicles being made today. They're awesome vehicles, but I'd go with a Toyota if I was to buy a new truck/suv.

wranglers are great but as mentioned above possibly the roughest ride out there due to the solid axle suspension.. especially with any lift / bigger tires

If you're like I was it will be great for the first year or so then you'll miss a truck and get another one. IF you can only have one keep your truck. But that was me you may be different.
