Something we do not even think about over here, but I knew it was coming for other parts of the country. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...tal-heat-dome-settles-Midwest-south.html
If it keeps on we are going to see a mass migration from West to East and it aint going to be fun for us.

We had some old friends here from Utah this past weekend. We took them for a Pioneer ride around the homestead and they were marveling over the springs we have. Later he asked about the feasibility of pumping water out west from mississippi delta overflow. Told him it would never happen without another civil war. Informed him of the water war with Alabama, Florida and Georgia. With no water available best option would be leave the desert and come back to Mississippi. Lol, told him Bama was already full.

Had congress in the 70's not opened back up our immigration (20% of all legal immigrants in the entire world come to America), and had we not had the influx of illegal aliens.... the population of the US would be ~250 million today vs 335 million.

= less water usage
= less pollution
= less CO2 (how can leftist be concerned with climate change and want uncontrolled immigration to high carbon footprint countries?)
= more $ to help the poor
= better education (who has the best education system in the world? Dump 6 million kids that don't speak their language into their education system and see what happens)

Maybe they can pump some of that floodwater out of Yellowstone.

Lots of those western lakes are used to irrigate crops. So the drought will have an effect on domestically grown food as well. It may eventually lead to a decision of allowing people to move here or saving farmland to replace some the crops grown in the western states.

They can't keep a few lakes from drying up but they're going to change the global climate?

Call me crazy but I have been thinking about drilling an ag well in my big field even though I have no plans for ever irrigating it. That way I would be grandfathered if they started piling on restrictions for individual wells or start flat out banning new ones.

That’s not crazy.

In more states than folks might realize, rainwater harvesting is illegal.

I think I could figure out a way to capture rainwater without them knowing.

Why can't they find a feasible way to convert ocean water to drinking water. They say the ocean level is rising due to Global Warming/Climate Change anyway.

Saudi Arabia has been doing desalination for a long time now, but they get oil for free and can afford the energy it takes to desalinate enough water for their population.

It’s called desalination and it exists.

They wont do it because water is an expensive commodity over there.

They wont do it because water is an expensive commodity over there.

Desalination plants use reverse osmosis, which requires very powerful pumps to get the pressure high enough. The western US wouldn't have the energy to power the pumps, even if they got the plant built.

This weather aint helping with the harvest this year. Don't worry though, Brandon will convert what is harvested into chitty gasoline.

San Diego has one and is working on a second.
